Chiang Mai International Airport
Chiang Mai has one airport located a short distance from the downtown area. The transport facility operates both domestic and international flights and is a major gateway to Northern Thailand. There are regular flights to other popular Thai destinations including Bangkok, Pattaya and Surat Thani.
The airport has one terminal and a small selection of amenities and facilities. For a bite to eat, there are a number of cafes, restaurants and food outlets. You will also find travel agents, tourist information, ATMs and currency exchange. For some retail therapy, there are several shops offering silk, handicrafts and souvenirs. There is also a pharmacy, bookstore and free WiFi (2-hour limit).

Driving from Chiang Mai International Airport to the city
From the airport to the city centre is a 15 to 20-minute drive. Simply exit the airport onto Route 1141 North and follow this road to the city centre.
