Situated in northern Italy just south of the jagged Dolomite Mountains is the city of love and despair in the eyes of Romeo and Juliet. But in reality, this city is full of romance and magic, extending along the Adige River in the Veneto region and known for its grand old city dating back to the Middle Ages. Over 700,000 residents call Verona home of whom you can find sipping espresso on one of the many piazzas. Visitors must stop by the 1st-century amphitheatre (arena di Verona), which offers opera performances all summer long. Step into medieval times, touring castles, towers, bridges and more, and hop in your car hire to pay a visit to Lake Garda, a crystal clear lake with awe-inspiring mountain views.
Venice is just a short drive away. Cruise on over to the underwater city, drive east to the modern city of Milan or head north to the mountains for an unforgettable ski trip - all possible with a rental car.
