Situated on the far west coast of Sicily, Trapani Airport is the island’s third busiest airport, serving over 1.5 million passengers each year. The small terminal offers two eateries, vending machines, free WiFi for up to 90 minutes and an information desk. Rental car kiosks are located in the Arrivals Hall on the ground floor.

Driving from Trapani Airport to Trapani
Arrive in downtown Trapani from the Trapani Airport in under 20 minutes using this route: take the SP21 east and turn left to merge onto A29 toward the city. Exit at Marsala and turn left onto SS115. Continue on this road to arrive in the city.
Driving tips for your Trapani rental car
Although driving in Sicily is much more relaxed than in mainland Italy, it’s best to use navigational help, remain confident behind the wheel and only use the left lane if you are passing. Sicilian roads are quite narrow, so a compact vehicle is the ideal rental car option.
● Drive on the right-hand side of the road and overtake on the left.
● Speed limits are as follows: 130 km/h on highways, 90 km/h on local roads and 50 km/h in urban areas.
● Share the road with motorcyclists and cyclists.
● Avoid using the horn unless necessary.
● Bring along a road map in case your GPS fails.

The first 15 minutes of parking are free at Trapani Airport and only €3.50 for the first two hours, €5.50 for five hours and €13 for the day. The parking lot has a capacity of over 600 spaces and is located directly across from the terminal.
Choose from a mix of parking options in downtown Trapani. You can park for free at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Piazzale Ilio or via Poma. Each lot is situated just outside the city near public transport. Blue lined curbs are paid parking spaces enforced from 8am to 1:30pm and 3:30pm to 8pm Monday through Saturday, however over summer holidays payment is required every day. Attended lots are available as well.
